Arch, The Northumberland Development Company, is an arms-length development company with strategic and operational influence to drive economic development, physical regeneration projects, digital change and business growth in Northumberland.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for three experienced and enthusiastic Business Growth Advisers to join the Economic Growth team and support the delivery of a high profile European funded business support programme in Northumberland.
Business Northumberland is an exciting programme focused on supporting the growth and sustainability of SMEs in Northumberland and the wider North East LEP region. Activity will be delivered using an interactive online platform which will host a number of programmes and online content across a number of economic drivers to support business growth. Online activity will also be complemented with a number of masterclasses and seminars, held across Northumberland.
As well as enthusiastically promoting the benefits of the projects enterprise support programmes and the opportunities they can bring to SME’s, the Business Growth Advisers will be responsible for the identification and engagement of eligible SMEs onto the Business Northumberland programme. They will deliver 1:1 advice, in order to unlock growth opportunities within an eligible SME and support start – ups and businesses with a higher growth potential. In line with the Business Northumberland 2016 – 19’s scope and objectives the Business Growth Advisers will take responsibility for the design, development and delivery of interactive, diagnostic workshops and programmes of support across identified themes, as well as the development and implementation of activity plans and assisting with access to finance.
The post holder will have specialisms in a field relating to one or more of the following project themes and be able to apply their knowledge and promote the benefits directly in order to help grow a business:
- Sector specific experience
- Financial Modelling and management for SMEs
- Routes to market and business development
- Marketing and Communications
- Business Planning
- Business growth through the use of digital applications
